My small dog, Mickey, is an anxious little fellow and barks at everything going past his front window. He has been on a light sedative for several years now to try and relax him. The pills have a somewhat calming effect but don't cut down on the barking as much as I like, plus I worry about him having to be medicated. My veterinarian suggested trying a buzz collar to see if that would help reduce the barking.
Mickey has worn his Bark Wise collar for three weeks now, and we have seen a marked decline in the amount of barking. I can now leave him in the car to go into the grocery store without him barking his head off. We have been able to enjoy sitting in the living room reading and watching television with hardly a bark to interrupt us. And happily, I have been able to reduce his medication. Mickey has had no adverse reaction to wearing the collar, and in fact he likes it when I put it on him in the morning (of course, he always gets a treat so that he associates the collar with good things!). I would say that the collar has worked for us.

I don't have any specific complaints around quality or function - collar responded to my dog's barks and for a week or so he stopped barking, but then reverted for a couple weeks and hasn't improved. I just don't think the ultrasonic sound is enough to deter him - either he needs it louder (can't adjust that with this collar) or I need another method. Returned product.

Our dog is a barker (so the neighbor says). With the collar, he still barks. It has been 3 weeks. To be fair to the collar manufacturer, we will continue to train him on it but will probably return it as he barks as much with the collar on as without it. Because the neighbor threatened the police, we may have to do something else. Maybe our dog is deaf and we don't know it?

I have a very reactive dog. She barks at everything when at home and doesn’t stop. The collar seemed to interrupt her some the first week. And now it interrupts her when she is not in her high reactive state. I am also reenforcing the interruption when she stops with treats But she often goes back to what she was barking at, even if it’s not there.
I have it set at the 1st setting that you recommend in the beginning. So I will turn that up and see.

It’s definitely helped to curb my Great Pyrenees constant barking and he noticeably barks less but my only issue is the remote doesn’t always work. The collar will be fully charged and the remote has a new battery but it won’t always work

Our dog developed the habit of alerting us whenever anyone walked or cycled past our house, but since using the Ultimate Bark Control collar we have noticed a huge reduction in the amount of barking that she does. I've increased the sensitivity very slowly, allowing her to get used to the collar and the results of her barking, and am now seeing great results. I have a Great Pyrenees and a Bernese Mountain dog. Both dogs are barkers when neighbours walk by the house, but the GP is also a nuisance barker who lets off warning shots pretty consistently all day. Last fall, I bought the Dog Silencer Max but it was not at all effective, so I recently bought a bark collar for each dog. The bark collars are amazing! From the moment they first wore the collars, the barking immediately stopped. I have never had to use the vibration mode, and the sound is set at the lowest setting. My only complaint is regarding the rubber piece that covers the controls and charging port. The rubber does not stay in place so I use a rubber band to hold it in place. Overall, an amazing product.

Please understand I am a real guy, living in a real town of Columbia, Mo and I NEVER write reviews.....with that being said please read this.
We adopted a 7 year old male Boxer who is heartworm positive. He has to remain calm while undergoing this treatment which is a 6 month long ordeal.
He barks at nothing...literally would go to the patio in our fenced yard (6 foot privacy) and sit there barking. If someone walked on the sidewalk and he seen them he would bolt to the fence and bark non stop. The wind blows he barks, car door outside he barks. We not only are concerned for his health, but also live across the street from a police department and of course concerned about the barking attracting the attention, and possibly a citation.
Desperate for help our vet provided mild sedatives to try to help keep him calm, which did not work 1 bit. We tried 2 other collars which we had to be present, manually initiate a vibration or beep which was difficult because it needed to be an instant thing, not find the remote then beep him 1 minute after barking.
Fast forward to 4/25/2022 which is the night we received the order for our Bark Wise. We read through the instructions, charged it up and decided we would implement this beginning this morning 4/26/2022. I remained home (we have a dog door) 1/2 the day to see how things would go. On cue PawPaw burnt out the dog door and barked, threw on the brakes and sit down when the bark wise activated. He paused (people were walking up the sidewalk) barked from sitting position and again the bark wise activated to which in turn he walked calmly back through the dog door and come to me and laid down. We are 12 hours into implementing this corrective collar and have not heard him, nor seen him act out, lunge, run, or bark. I watched multiple people walk by the fence (he can see through the slats) to which he walked to the fence, and simply walked along side calmly until the reached the end of our property, then returned back to the house.
I hope you have made it this far reading my story because I am here to tell you it was the absolute best money I have ever spent on any type of a training, or corrective devise of any type. Please believe me, if you are at wits end, ready to throw in the towel over barking non stop, give this a try. Our fur babies are worth it. Do not give up on them. I am in awe of how this has changed, even after 12 hours, not only our lives but probably will help in saving the life of my baby boy.

My labradoodle is an “alarm” barker, it could be a squirrel, a bird or another dog but he had to tell me, LOUDLY. I had tried so many ways of getting him to not bark unnecessarily but nothing worked. Now that he is wearing his new collar, even if the deer are in the backyard, he lets me know much more subtly. I wish I had found this 3 years ago, I would have fewer gray hairs!!

I'm impressed with the multiple features the Barkwise collar includes. I think it's a good product. It is not as effective for my highly protective German Shephard. I was hoping the audio selection would be as loud as the Dog Silencer Max. Understandably, that would be overwhelming for smaller dogs. I'll keep the collar and continue to work with him.

This could not have worked better! My small dog barked and paced nonstop when I left, which doesn’t really fly in an apartment building. I put this collar on and she barked twice, was given an annoying sound, and now hasn’t barked once in over a week and just sleeps quietly! I used the ultrasonic and audible sound settings, didn’t even have to move to the vibrate. Amazing device and highly worth the splurge, my dog and I are both very happy.

Our terrier was terrorizing the neighbors any time they were in their yard, but now the barking has decreased. He can still bark on alert, but no more nuisance barking. He HATES loud beeps of any kind (he hides any time the stove or oven is being used because he hates the sound of the timer) so this works really well. Even if the battery is dead, he won’t bark when he’s wearing it.

I finally resolved the collar loosening during the day by setting the correct collar width then using small zip ties to secure the collar width permanently. No more loose collar.

We have a dog that barks at the wind. It is very annoying to us and to our neighbors. When we put the vibration collar on, she barked a few times and clearly did not like it and stopped immediately. It has made our life so much easier when people arrive at the front door, and we have to let her outside. At night we take it off of her and if she hears noises she will bark. Nighttime is usually a very quiet time anyway, but if someone was lurching around, she would bark.

I have a Great Pyrenees Samoyed mix( mostly Great Pyrenees). He has all the GP traits, including barking to alert about the butterflies three blocks away.
We live on a side street that’s used like a main road—UPS, FEDEX, USPS , elementary school, SS office, phone company all go through constantly. He loves the front porch. So his bark can be heard far and wide. I live in a small town with many many dogs. Tolerance abounds. He has many more friends than I do. BUT…. The bark….the bark….the bark….

We have two Border Collies (Max and Tille) that have barked at everything that comes into view for the last two years. They are hyper-alert to birds flying by and leaves that blow through the yard. Max and Tille are great dogs, but their barking was causing a lot of tension in our household. We purchased two bark collars, set them up as the instructions recommend, and have had silence all day long from the very first day. There might be the occasional bark, but they bark once and then stop (on average, once, maybe twice a day, which has decreased over time). In the last couple of weeks, Max and Tillie have learned to watch people walk by the house without a peep. 10/10 recommend these bark collars. Be patient and use consistently.

Amazing bark collar! So happy and couldn’t believe how instantly it worked. She’s an inside dog and loves being with us so whenever we put her outside she will keep barking until we let her back in. Our 6 year old labradoodle had gotten progressively noisier when seeing other dogs, driving past, or even on TV. With training her TV manners had improved (apart from the occasional lunge and bark where she saw the dog first!) However, driving past dogs, or the dog park, was just embarrassing and annoying. She has had the collar on for a week now, and is a totally different dog. To the point she lies down in the back of the car, and doesn't even bother looking for dogs!! I charged the device and started it on low control and remote and it made no difference so gradually I put it up to full strength and tried both remote and automatic and it made no difference to his barking behaviour! I therefore want my full refund as you advertise if not happy then full money back guarantee. I will now have to try and source some other more effective method.

I was super hesitant to order these collars for my two dogs. I thought, if these work so great why have I never heard of them? But I just moved from a country setting into town and my dogs have been barking their heads off at all the stimuli and I don’t want to make enemies of my new neighbors and I have a 5 month old they keep waking up. So in a moment of frustration I ordered them and crossed my fingers. I put the collars on the dogs last night and for my smart dog it only took one bark to stop barking and my dumb dog it took maybe 5 barks. Now they have stopped barking at: people knocking on the door, people passing by, cats and squirrels in the yard and they have even stopped barking to be let in. My mind is blown. I’m so happy I didn’t have to get shock collars to stop them barking. I do want to say that it does drain them a bit to wear them so
I think it’s humane to try to limit the amount of time they wear them. So I’m only putting them on when I need to. I just feel bad for dogs if they have to wear them all the time. I’ll always have the dogs wear them when we have company coming over because they used to bark at people when they came in and I’ll make sure they are wearing them in the yard and when my son is napping. Both of my dogs are around 30 lbs and the collar fits them on the tightest setting. I don’t think this collar would fit small dogs and I didn’t see a different size when I was ordering them.

Wow, this is an amazing device. Our yellow lab is (was) what we called a "barkalot". She would constantaly bark as soon as we let her out and she would run the length of our yard barking at everything and nothing! She was driving us (and our most likely our neighbors) crazy! We put this collar on her at the lowest settings ONCE and she has completely stopped barking. Shhh...we don't even turn it on anymore. It is a miracle. We haven't tried the remote yet but will repost a review once we have. I would highly recommend this bark collar!

We use the vibrate feature along with the command “enough”, which our dog already knew but chose to ignore. After using the collar only TWICE, he began listening to the command every single time. I can’t believe it took us two years to buy this, they could have been two years of peace and quiet!

Last year we got two new puppies, a husky in March and a GSD in May. So for the last 10 months I have not been able to sleep more than a few hours at a time due to incessant barking, screaming, howling, and whining. The GSD would start up and set off the husky. Coming home from work every day was a nightmare, I almost would have rather stayed there. But I love them, and if they didn’t have their vocal cords they would really be good dogs.
My husband left for the field two weeks ago, and I was at my whits end. So I bought one of these as a last resort, not really putting much faith into it. In fact I was so convinced it wasn’t going to work I left it sitting on the counter for three days after it came in.
Well I eventually did put the sucker on the GSD (he is the screamer), and oh my goodness what a difference it has made. I have actually slept through the night every day this week. Mind you this dog has had thousands of dollars of personal training, we’ve tried shock collars, and chews, he gets plenty of exercise and attention, but nothing worked until I got this. It absolutely does work. For him anyways.
Now the issues: the collar is super cheap, it feels like one of those paper thin reusable shopping bags and it never stays on tight. I have to readjust it everyday and even then hours later it starts slipping again. But it still works, even just hanging loosely around his neck. My other main complaint is the remote that comes with it, I’m not sure what the radius of that thing is but it only works maybe one in five times and that’s if I’m standing RIGHT next to him. When it does work it definitely gets his attention and redirects him elsewhere.
All in all, I would definitely purchase this again as I can feel a little more of my sanity coming back with every good night sleep. If you’re thinking about purchasing one I would definitely recommend it.

While Skyler's (our 7–8-year-old rescue Border Collie) barking has decreased a bit, it is still way more often than we would like. Our understanding is that she was in a high-kill shelter in Texas, and lived on the streets, plus experienced extreme abuse before that. So, the vibration seems to have zero impact, and the buzzer only seems to work part-time. It is the worst and doesn't control her at all, when another dog walks passed the house.

Working kelpie who would bark continuously at night at noises off in the distance and his own shadow half of the time. We live on a busy main road and need him to warn us of incoming vehicles and unwanted guests. His unnecessary barking stopped pretty much the first night we used the bark wise collar which we only put on at night when he (turbo) is locked up. He still barks when warning us of strangers driving in which is excellent but the other barking has stopped. Highly recommend this collar to stop random barking for sure.

This thing has changed my life. I’m not even joking. My dog is incredibly anxious when anyone comes into the house that she can’t see and be near. She is big and bold and unless you love dogs, most people think she’s a little too much so we have to put her away in her kennel. She does. Not. Stop. Barking. We have tried everything. This collar is alright but not great. It works well when it actually goes off. Often times it won’t go off when my dog barks and other times it will go off when my dog is running with a little tag on his collar. Ultimately, I will still use it but there are better options.

My pitbull kept barking at animals on the TV nonstop all day long. After one week with the collar on his barking at the tv has almost completely stop. Your collar works exceptionally well. My dog was constantly barking when I or anyone would go over to his house which was stressing me out because I felt my next door neighbors would be upset listening to her. I want her to bark when it’s appropriate, but not because of separation anxiety or joining in barking with my neighbor’s two dogs. The first time I used the collar and she began to bark she immediately stopped. I’ve had the collar on her for about 1.5 weeks now so I’m trying to now train her by having it vibrate only. For her, it may be a bit of a challenge so I may have to switch it back to the original settings, but I think with a bit of time she will learn. Anyway, your product definitely gets 5 Stars. We live on a corner block and had received some complaints about my dog Sonny as he barks at people and dogs walking past, even at birds that sit on the fence. It was almost impossible to control him as he was always in such a frenzy and on patrol and was really worried about it as I had received a council letter about him. This device worked immediately and I couldn’t be happier. Although he’s not thrilled to wear it (because he knows he can’t bark) it has made him a lot calmer in the backyard. Worked right away, then dogs got used to it, seemed to not work well in winter as the snow gets packed in the collar and prevents them from working, have 2 dogs and they would set each other’s collars off, my kids would be loud and set the collars off, the seal/ cover on controls for sensitivity and settings would not stay in, when my dogs would play the settings never stayed in the same position, remote sets off both collars instead of the one it came with, just didn’t work for us, returning product, might work if you have just one dog and quiet children or no children.

Worked great with my super barky beagle. He did not like it, and quickly learned to keep it down to maybe one bark. Only issue is that the collar itself is kinda cheap. The ring was plastic, and broke in a day or so when he pulled on the leash. I'd like to be able to put the electronics on a higher-quality collar, but the mounts don't seem to make that very easy.

I have 2 dogs, an 8 year old and a puppy less then 6 months. My 8 year old dog barks at everything, so I ordered the collar in hopes of stopping her barking and avoiding future barking issues with the new puppy. While the collar seems to work, and generally stops her barking fairly quickly, it goes off when the puppy barks. I feel AWFUL watching my 8 year old pup get 'dinged' because her sister is barking. I turned the sensor all the way down, but it still dings her when the puppy barks. So, at this point, we've turned off the auto-detection and are just using the remote - but that is sort of a pain that we always need to have that with us. So, it works - but it isn't ideal with 2+ pups in the home.

Our 13-pound rescue terrier Mozzarella had bad separation anxiety and would bark nonstop if left alone for more than an hour or so. We're talking hours of barking on end. But this collar changed things overnight. We've now left her home alone multiple times for 3 hours or more over the last few weeks, and haven't gotten a single bark alert from our Furbo camera. I'll still catch her softly whimpering or groaning on occasion, but nothing like the barking fits she used to have, and she seems less stressed overall when left alone now that she's not as able to get herself worked up by barking. We had previously tried training her with a different remote control shock collar that we had to activate manually from nearby since it didn't have bark detection, which may have contributed to how quickly the BarkWise collar worked, since she already knew that collar = barking not allowed. In any event, this collar has been life-changing, and I love that it's more humane with only sound and vibration correction rather than static shocks.

Such a worthy purchase. It was effective instantaneously and within a couple of days the barking had stopped completely. Although our dog no longer wears the collar it's always on nearby with the noise activated and just as effective.

Worked at first on my 75lb lab, who has a rivalry with the neighbor dogs and anyone who dares use the sidewalk. She got used to the sound after 2 days though so it no longer is effective.

Working great for the barking, but the remote I got with the purchase hasn’t worked at all since new (3days) . So I can’t manually stop the scratching at the door. Would like a remote replacement or a new battery if possible

The collar it came with will require us to modify. It is too long even at its shortest setting. My little dog is about 15 pounds. We are in week two, so the device sensitivity is set on low. So the next step is to raise the effects. My little dog barks less, but she is very reactive. Instead of her barking hard and for five minutes when another dog passes our yard (we have a wrought iron fence so she sees everything), she barks a half dozen times and quits. So this is a major step. And best of all, I don’t feel like it is in humane to my little best friend.

Our small dog always barked when new people came around and if we left her alone for any amount of time she would bark. We needed something to help with her barking and didn't
want to use a shock collar of any kind, so we did some research and found this collar that is
easy to use and humane and wont hurt our dog. We have used this collar on the lowest setting
and it has worked great on keeping her from barking. Its seems to be working great in training
her to not bark as much even if its not on. I would totally recommend this product.

reviewed when i got it. worked fine. but now it really made a diffeence. one of my shih tzus was sort of intermittent howlng. no reason other than i wasn't home and working but at night. put the collar on and it stopped immediately. still calm at night and when he is greatbg new people. doesn't stop him completely when greating new people but still SO much less. honestly, i think he's more calm and happier. i have him on ultrasound and vibrate and may take him off the vibrate mode to see if any difference.

Got this for my pomeranian/shit tsu mix, hes not yappy but he is super protective. Moved in to an apartment with new baby and needed to get him under control. Hes a different dog now still happy crazy puppy but he listens amd doesnt bark at every noise the remote option has helped with training especially around the baby. So glad i found this option over a painful shock collar or rehoming him.

Well this was a great purchase! We had tried other products to no avail. Our black lab used to bark long annoying howls whenever we let him out in the evening’s and that last out before we all went to bed. We have great neighbors who didn’t complain but we were sure they must have been annoyed. We put this on our pet at nite and within two days he stopped his nightly serenade. He is so smart he learned the errors of his ways. We had the sensitivity on the collar just a little above the recommended, just audio no vibration. Follow the instructions on the device and you will have no problems. Worth the $.
