Your Dog Has Got Your Back

Over time, as the climate changed and got significantly cooler, North American got much drier and vast amounts of land turned into open grass fields. This process, evidenced by fossils found, points to these events actually shaping the evolution of the dog.

Recently a federal judge in Phoenix Arizona upheld a city law that requires that any dog or cat being sold in a pet store must come from an animal shelter. Phoenix now joins a rather exclusive club of cities, over 60 at the last count, that have implemented similar laws.

According to a recent article published by the Huffington Post, there appears to be a significant amount of pet stores meeting the demands of the public by selling puppies that come from puppy farms. A big concern here is, where this “demand” is coming from?

One man created an ingenious way to keep his cat fulfilled as a hunter. Plastic balls are hidden throughout the house. His cat must find them, carry and drop into his feeder to receive his food.

A wise man once said, you can please some of the people all of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time. Much can be felt in the spirit of this quote when we look at how we observe and discuss the issue of an ever growing pet population, dogs specifically, and the resulting stray dog populace that comes from it.
