For best results we recommend removing your dog’s regular collar and tags while using the BarkWise Collar. This will help prevent false activations from the sound of your dog’s tags. Optionally, you may attach your dog’s ID tag to the plastic loop included on the side of the BarkWise collar.
If you wish to use BarkWise during walks, we recommend attaching your dog’s leash to a separate harness. If you do not have a harness, we recommend turning the bark sensitivity all the way off and using the remote control to activate the BarkWise manually.
Do not use any other AC adapter with BarkWise other than the official BarkWise AC adapter. Use of any other AC adapter will void your warranty.
We recommend you do not use any ultrasonic bark control devices in combination with invisible fence systems. This is because the sound frequencies emitted by our bark control devices are very similar to those emitted by the invisible fence collar. This may cause confusion and interfere with the dog's training.

Currently, there are no restrictions on what size of dog BarkWise can be used on. The collar is adjustable between 6–24″ (15.2–61 cm) and the electronic unit is ergonomically designed to fit the contours of your dog's neck. It only weighs 2.2 oz (62.4 g) so it won't weigh your dog down.

No. Unlike shock collars that are extremely painful and confusing to dogs, the high-pitched sounds & vibrations emitted by BarkWise are completely humane and will not hurt your dog.
This will depend on usage. BarkWise has a standby time of around 24 hours and continuous activation time of 12 hours. Since it's recommended to only keep the collar on your dog for up to 12 hours at a time, you can recharge BarkWise while your dog takes a break from wearing the collar.
BarkWise reduce nuisance barking such as barking due to boredom. By design, BarkWise will have little effect on instinctual or protective barking such as barking at an intruder.

BarkWise is designed to be durable for everyday wear and play, but is not water resistant. Water bowl splashes are fine, but remove BarkWise if your dog will be swimming or playing in water.
To avoid the contact nubs rubbing on your dog's neck and causing discomfort, BarkWise should only be worn for up to 12 hour periods. This will also give you the chance to charge the unit while your dog enjoys collar-free time.

I am so pleased with this collar. I was so afraid to use a device and absolutely did not want a shock collar. My dog responded to the lowest setting and we saw huge results immediately.
